Our governance
The Department for Work and Skills is governed through its ministerial and senior Civil Service leadership. Its governance covers work, employment support, skills, apprenticeships, training, professional development and workforce participation, while Treasury, Cabinet Office and Education responsibilities remain distinct.
Current ministerial offices and responsibilities are published in the List of Ministerial Responsibilities. Senior officials remain accountable for the administration, governance, risk and delivery of the department within the Civil Service.
